Cameron Johnson who played basketball from a very young age started his basketball career from his high school days. Later he played two seasons from Pittsburg and had to undergo a knee injury during the first year in Pittsburg. 

After spending 3 years in Pittsburg, Cameron got transferred to the University Of North Carolina where he joined the North Carolina Tar Heels (UNC) team and during the first season in 2017/2018, he made strong stats with an average of 12.4 points and 4.7 rebounds. His shooting ratio was 34.1 percent from three whereas 42.6 percent from the field. 

Cameron even got named as First Team All-ACC and UNC’s most valuable player.

On 20 June 2019, Cameron was drafted by Minnesota Timberwolves with the eleventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft.
